Is your air conditioning summer ready?

It’s common to overlook your split system air conditioners maintenance and health checks. But like most things, there are huge benefits to being proactive with your split system air conditioners.

Dirty air conditioners breed airborne bacteria and mould. Dirty air conditioners operate inefficiently and use more electricity. Dirty air conditioners have a shorter operational life from working harder than they need to do the job of cooling or heating.

Here are just some examples of dirty air conditioners the team at Electrical Embassy restore back to full health with our Hydoclean service.

Basic testing of your safety switch

It’s also important to test your safety switch every three months to ensure that it continues to function properly and protect you from electric shocks. This short film takes you through the steps to test your safety switch.

The risk is real. One safety switch may not be enough.

Regardless of whether you own or rent, you should consider having safety switches installed on all circuits. Safety switches protect you, your family and anyone visiting the property from electric shock. The risk is real. One safety switch may not be enough.

WARNING – SAFETY MESSAGE – Damaged wiring caused by rodents or possums

WARNING – SAFETY MESSAGE – Damaged wiring caused by rodents or possums

All too often we come across this type of cable damage. It is so common, especially in some of Brisbane’s leafy or bush setting suburbs, like Greenbank, Camira, Kenmore and Burbank and Mount Cotton.

Electrical Embassy advises all of their clients and the general public to keep a close eye on rodent/possum activity around their home, shed or workplace.

We advise that you take appropriate action to evaluate if your home or workplace has any damage to the wiring. We also advise that ALL circuits have safety switches fitted to reduce the chances of these type of faults becoming a fire!

Faults like these are often intermittent, they can lead to frustrating and inconvenient safety switches tripping over a long period of time. But a safety switch tripping is better than a fire.

We advise the installation of separate safety switches to minimise power disruption when these type of faults occur.

If you require an electrical specialist for advice, to check or assist in any way, contact the team at Electrical Embassy.
